I grew up in Springfield, MO where I graduated from Parkview High School, I got married, had my two kids, and founded my first two businesses there before moving to Bentonville, AR in 2017. My husband and I were interoduced to the world of autism when our first born turned 2 and later discovered my second born also was on the spectrum. Our journey took us through early intervention services, to early childhood, an introduction to special education in the publicI schools, to some time in private school, and now homeschool. I am currently working towards a Bachlors of Science Degree in Education with an emphasis on Special Education as well as a degree in Business Administration. I have several articles published in magazines, and have co -authored two books on autism. I have also wrote about disability ministry and one on homeschooling with autism. I have a handful of other works just waiting for me to commit time to getting them completed.
I love photography, however I do not claim to be professional. I enjoy reading nonfiction mostly, I enjoy learning about new things and seeing different perspectives in culture. I love to travel with my family. I also enjoy art and I even find time to sew an outfit or two when I feel the urge. Our family could spend hours in the water and riding four- wheelers out on the farm. We do our best living when we are surrounded by nature.
My favorite things are my husband and my kids. I am not a huge fan of the cold weather, but I do love how cold weather brings us all together. We make cookies, cup cakes, and sip on hot coco. We love to sit in front of the fire with our blankets and watch movies and read stories. I love to read and study my bible. My grandfather loved to quiz me on my knowledge of the bible. His trivia drew me in and made me want to know more.
